Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam has set a national record by creating the country’s largest artwork made entirely from recycled plastic beverage packaging, marking a new milestone in its circular-economy efforts amid ongoing challenges with plastic waste.

The company has received certification from the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) for an installation featuring six curved walls constructed from 100,000 recycled 300ml PET bottles.

Stretching more than 100 meters in total, the walls display images, information, and messages that highlight the company’s strategies and tangible actions toward a circular future.

Named ‘Circular Journey Toward a Green Future,' the artwork is currently on display at the company’s factory in Tay Ninh Province.

As a member of the National Plastic Action Partnership under the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Coca-Cola Vietnam said the installation represents its sustainability journey and underscores its commitment to promoting circularity and raising public awareness about recycling.

Each bottle in the structure serves as a reminder of the role individual actions can play in reducing plastic waste and encouraging more responsible consumption.

Since 2022, Coca-Cola Vietnam has been among the first businesses in the country to introduce 300ml PET bottles produced entirely from recycled plastic, helping lessen reliance on virgin materials.

Speaking at the recognition ceremony, Milly Cheng, CEO of Coca-Cola Vietnam, said the record-setting installation underscores the company’s long-term commitment to green and sustainable development in Vietnam.

She expressed hope that the recognition will help amplify the recycling message and encourage more people to take small actions that contribute to a greener future.

Coca-Cola’s Tay Ninh factory is also the first facility in Vietnam’s food and beverage sector to achieve LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Coca-Cola Vietnam also partners with the Netherlands-based nonprofit The Ocean Cleanup to collect waste on the Can Tho River and works with the UNDP to implement regional waste-management projects funded by a US$15 million grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation.
