Pho Day (December 12) enters its ninth year under the theme 'Elevating Vietnamese Rice – Reaching Five Continents.'
This year’s edition features nearly 30 well-known and distinctive pho brands across the country.
The festival is treating diners to a wide range of pho varieties, each reflecting the culinary identity and cultural nuances of different regions.
With each bowl priced at VND40,000 (US$1.5), Pho Day 2025 is expected to serve more than 20,000 bowls over two days.
The organizers have been committed to allocating at least 10 percent of pho sales revenue to the ‘Pho of Love’ initiative, which will cook and serve pho to residents in flood-hit areas of Dak Lak Province.
Pho Day is an annual event supported by the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association.
It has been organized for many years in coordination with Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper with diamond sponsorship from Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
This year’s event is also supported by additional partners, including HDBank, Cholimex Food JSC, SATRA, and Suntory PepsiCo, among others.
