The festival is one of Da Nang’s flagship events for the summer tourism season, bringing together cultural, artistic, culinary, sporting and beach activities to promote the city as a regional destination for festivals and events.
Under the theme ‘Return to Origins,’ the festival aims to give visitors a chance to experience the city’s natural landscapes, local culture and everyday life through hands-on experiences rather than performances alone.
A highlight of the festival is the opening ceremony on July 23 at East Sea Park, featuring live theatrical performances staged outdoors showcasing the cultural heritage of the Quang region, or the historic Quang Nam-Quang Ngai region, through music, dance and modern stage technology.
Throughout the five-day festival, visitors can explore a countryside-style food market featuring local specialties and international cuisine.
Organizers will also set up beach experience zones with artistic displays and around 500 illuminated kites.
An evening beachfront event featuring light displays will be held for the first time, offering food, live music and entertainment.
Nature and wellness related themed activities include meditation and traditional tea appreciation on the Son Tra Peninsula in Tho Quang Ward, as well as sunrise yoga and meditation sessions on the beach.
Visitors can also tour Man Thai Fish Market, join excursions to Son Tra, Ngoc Linh, My Son and Hoi An, or take part in the Da Nang Food Tour.
Other attractions include live music performances at My Khe Beach, traditional and contemporary art shows, and a digital exploration program that invites visitors to complete 10 challenges at tourist attractions and festival venues across the city.
Alongside cultural programs, Da Nang will host a range of sporting events, including barefoot beach running, beach volleyball, beach soccer, stand-up paddleboarding, and international marathon.

Alongside the cultural programs, Da Nang will host a range of sporting events, including barefoot beach running, beach volleyball, beach soccer, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), an international marathon and the National Youth, Junior, and Children’s Table Tennis Championship.
The city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said this year’s festival is expected to create new tourism offerings for the summer season, encourage longer stays and boost visitor spending.
Da Nang is also operating summer tour programs from June through August, linking them with festivals in neighboring localities to broaden tourism experiences during peak travel season.
Tan Van Vuong, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the events are designed to offer visitors experiences rooted in the city’s natural landscapes, cultural heritage and local life.
In the first half of 2026, accommodation establishments in Da Nang served about 9.77 million visitor arrivals, up more than 22 percent year on year, Vuong said.
Revenue from accommodation, food services and travel was estimated at more than VND34.7 trillion (US$1.32 billion), an increase of more than 21 percent from the same period in 2025.
