Huynh Nam Thang, vice-president and general director of real estate developer Sun Group for the central region, said that 85 percent of the setup for the opening night had been completed.
This year’s festival, themed ‘Da Nang – The New Rising Era,’ is set to showcase both artistic ambition and technical innovation.

The main stage, designed with inspiration drawn from the natural beauty of Da Nang, particularly the iconic Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son), features an artistic representation of the ocean and a radiant gemstone centerpiece.
The symbolic gem reflects Da Nang’s aspirations for transformation and growth in the new era.
With a capacity of 10,200 seats, the 2025 stage is the largest in the festival’s history.
In addition to its expanded size, the DIFF stage integrates cutting-edge performance technologies.
A highlight of the design includes a state-of-the-art mechanical system featuring five large-scale moving domes, with the central dome spanning 21 meters in width, nearly double the size of its 2024 predecessor.
Flanking the centerpiece are two 18.5-meter side domes, with two additional domes located along the riverside, enhancing both flexibility and visual dynamism.
The combination of expansive space and mechanical engineering will create a vibrant, multi-dimensional performance environment.
A new LED floor system and upgraded surround sound are also being installed to enhance both the fireworks displays and accompanying live music performances.
Organized by the Da Nang People’s Committee in partnership with Sun Group, DIFF 2025 is scheduled to open at 8:10 pm on May 31 and wrap up on July 12.
Ten teams will compete in this year’s event, including two from Vietnam, and one each from Finland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China.
The Vietnamese team will open the festival alongside 2024 champion Finland.
