The coastal city has faced consecutive days of intense sunshine, with hot, humid air from morning until late afternoon.

By midday, the heat radiating from asphalt created suffocating conditions, forcing many residents indoors.

For street vendors, construction workers, motorbike taxi drivers, and scrap collectors, shaded spots became rare shelters.

On busy streets, workers continued their routines despite sweat-soaked shirts and visible exhaustion.

Truong Vuong, a resident of Thanh Khe Ward, said prolonged heat has weakened his health.

“Working outside all day, I feel tired and thirsty constantly. Sometimes the sun is too harsh, and I have to stop early,” he explained.

Construction worker Le Van Hung said that deadlines leave him with little choice but to keep working.

“We rest briefly when the sun is unbearable, but too many breaks affect our income," Hung said.

“Life is tough, but we try to stay optimistic.”

Fishermen also braved the blazing sun, heading out to sea despite the burning sensation on their skin. For them, fishing trips remain both a livelihood and routine.

According to the Central Vietnam Hydro-Meteorological Station, Da Nang will continue to experience hot weather in the coming days, with highs ranging from 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, and some areas exceeding 36 degrees Celsius.

The peak heat is expected between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm daily.

Authorities warn that prolonged exposure can cause dehydration and heat-related illness, urging workers to stay hydrated and take breaks when possible.
