Unlike a typical IPO launch attended mainly by financial institutions, DatVietVAC’s IPO opening ceremony drew artists, business partners, and fans, with many bringing congratulatory flower arrangements to mark the occasion.

Founded in 1994, DatVietVAC said it has grown over the past 32 years into Vietnam’s first publicly listed technology, media, and entertainment ecosystem.

Dinh Ba Thanh, founder and board chairman of DatVietVAC, said the company chose to launch its IPO at a time when the Vietnamese government and society are giving unprecedented support to the country’s cultural industries.

He said the public offering would allow DatVietVAC employees, artists, and fans who have supported the company over the years to become shareholders in the business.

Trust built over three decades

From early morning on Wednesday, DatVietVAC’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City was filled with congratulatory flower arrangements sent by artists, business partners, brands, and numerous fan communities.

Throughout the day, artists including Mason Nguyen, DILLAN, Lamoon, Juky San, Anh Sang AZA, Bui Duy Ngoc, Lohan, GILL, Pham Dinh Thai Ngan, Do Nam Son, DANGHONGHAI, IVAN, and HYO attended the event, with many of them expressing interest in remaining involved not only as creative partners but also as shareholders.

DatVietVAC described the strong turnout from artists, business partners, and fans as evidence of an intangible asset built over more than three decades: trust.

According to the company, that trust has been developed through long-term relationships with artists, transparent business practices, and a consistent ability to create entertainment content that resonates with Vietnamese audiences.

Intellectual property as a growth engine

The company said intellectual property has become the core asset of its business model.

Its entertainment franchises, including Anh Trai Say Hi, Em Xinh Say Hi, Rap Viet, 2 Days 1 Night Vietnam and The Masked Singer Vietnam, have evolved beyond television programs into broader cultural brands spanning music, concerts, digital content, and live audience experiences.

DatVietVAC said extending the commercial life of each intellectual property through multiple formats has enabled the value of its content portfolio to grow over time.

Direct-to-consumer strategy

The company also highlighted its direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategy, which leverages fan communities to strengthen engagement and expand commercial opportunities beyond traditional broadcasting.

DatVietVAC said audience support is reflected not only in viewership, revenue, and online engagement, but also through direct interaction with production teams, who increasingly receive public recognition alongside on-screen performers.

As the company enters the capital market, DatVietVAC said it aims to present investors with more than financial results, positioning its portfolio of intellectual property, creative ecosystem, and long-standing relationships with artists, business partners, and audiences as the foundation for long-term growth.
