At the heart of this year’s holiday offerings are sea and island tourism activities, particularly on Hon Tre Island.
Visitors to the island will be treated to a massive national flag parade, scheduled for April 29 to May 1 between 4:30 pm and 5:15 pm.
The spectacle will transform the landscape into a sea of red, spreading national pride among domestic and international tourists.
The evening program will continue with a preshow titled ‘Vietnam Pride,’ featuring advanced 3D mapping technology.
Running from 7:10 pm to 7:20 pm, the show will bring to life iconic imagery such as the red flag with a yellow star and symbols of independence and peace.
High-altitude fireworks displays at 8:30 pm on April 30 and May 1 will light up the skies over Nha Trang Bay and serve as a dramatic finale to a full day of entertainment.
In anticipation of the holiday, tour operators, tourism service suppliers, and tourist areas in the province have rolled out a range of incentives to attract visitors.
In Vinh Hy Bay, resorts are offering discounted room rates, complimentary services for extended stays, and added perks for tour guides.
Meanwhile, Long Phu Tourist Area has refreshed its offerings, introducing new experiential activities aimed at encouraging longer stays.

Elsewhere, Yang Bay Park is maintaining stable ticket prices throughout the holiday period, with additional discounts available for online bookings.
The park has also revamped its experience packages for students and families, positioning itself as a key destination for the upcoming summer season.
Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen, deputy head of the Travel Sub-Association under the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the rise of short-duration travel continues to shape booking patterns during this year’s holiday.
“Family groups, corporate clients, and younger travelers tend to book travel services early, focusing on beach resorts, inter-regional tours, and flexible combo packages,” he shared
Flexible ‘free and easy’ packages, as well as road and rail tours, are gaining traction as travelers seek to cut flight costs.
Travel firms are increasingly promoting cultural and nature-based experiences in southern Khanh Hoa, Nguyen said.
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has urged tour operators and resorts to enhance service quality, upgrade facilities, and ensure strict safety and security standards during the peak season.
Food safety, product traceability, and environmental protection remain top priorities.
Efforts to reduce plastic waste and promote responsible tourism are central to the province’s broader goal of building a green, clean, and beautiful image.

Under the Labor Code, employees are entitled to one day off for Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and two days for the Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day holiday.
In 2026, the Hung Kings holiday, which falls on the 10th day of the third lunar month, coincides with Sunday, April 26.
Workers will receive a compensatory day off on Monday, April 27, resulting in a three-day break from April 25 to April 27.
For the Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day holiday, the two official days off fall on Thursday and Friday. Combined with the weekend, workers will have a four-day break from April 30 to May 3.
These schedules apply to public sector employees, while private sector workers may use annual leave to extend their breaks.
