In a document titled ‘FIFA World Cup 2026 Media Rights Licensees,’ FIFA named VTV as the rights holder in Vietnam, while its Scores & Fixtures page for the tournament indicated VTV3, VTV2, VTV7, and VTV10 as the channels airing matches.
The FIFA website shows VTV as the sole broadcaster in Vietnam and links match information to the VTVgo platform.
Under the listing, VTV would hold rights across multiple platforms, including television, radio, mobile, and Internet.
However, VTV has not issued an official announcement regarding the acquisition or its broadcast plans.

FIFA had earlier said on March 1 that exclusive negotiations for media rights in Vietnam were under way.
VTV has broadcast previous World Cups in Vietnam, including the 2022 tournament, for which it reportedly paid about US$15 million shortly before the event.
The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches across 16 host cities.
