The version features a unibody chassis and offers two electrified powertrain options, including a fully electric variant and an extended range electric vehicle (EREV).
Images of the Ford Bronco and its exterior design details have appeared in Vietnam’s latest industrial property gazette.
While there has been no official confirmation regarding local distribution, the registration has raised expectations that the American SUV could eventually arrive in Vietnam.
The model registered is the Bronco New Energy, a product of the JMC-Ford joint venture in China.

Unlike the body-on-frame architecture used by the U.S.-market Bronco, this version is built on a unibody platform, sharing development roots with the Ford Territory currently sold in Vietnam.
Dimensionally, the China-spec Bronco differs significantly from existing Bronco models.
It measures 5,025 mm in length and 1,960 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.
These figures surpass those of the Bronco Sport sold in the U.S., which has a 2,670 mm wheelbase, and even edge slightly ahead of the Ford Everest available in Vietnam.
In terms of design, the Bronco New Energy retains a rugged, boxy silhouette reminiscent of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
It features the Bronco family’s signature round daytime running lights, paired with exterior plastic cladding similar to that of the Bronco Sport.
The main lighting units employ a projector setup with a design distinct from other Bronco variants.
A side-opening tailgate with an externally mounted spare wheel further reinforces its off-road-inspired character.

Inside, the cabin is fully digitalized and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chipset.
Highlights include a 15.6-inch central touchscreen with 2.5K resolution, a large AR head-up display equivalent to a 70-inch screen, and a suite of premium amenities such as a 21-speaker sound system, panoramic sunroof, and a 7.5-liter onboard refrigerator.
Besides, the Bronco New Energy uses BYD’s LFP Blade battery, developed by its FinDreams joint venture.
The fully electric version is equipped with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing a combined output of 445 horsepower.
Paired with a 105.4 kWh battery pack, it delivers an estimated driving range of around 650 km.

Meanwhile, the extended range electric vehicle combines a 43.7 kWh battery with a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine that functions solely as a generator, without directly driving the wheels.
This configuration offers a total output of 416 horsepower and a combined driving range of up to 1,220 km.
On the safety and driver-assistance front, the SUV is fitted with LiDAR technology alongside more than 30 sensors and cameras.
These systems operate on the Nvidia Orin-X platform, enabling advanced driver assistance features.
As electrification gains momentum and Ford Vietnam has already begun offering the Mustang Mach-E, the prospect of the Bronco New Energy entering the Vietnamese market appears increasingly plausible.
The EREV version is widely seen as the most suitable choice, thanks to its extended range and reduced reliance on charging infrastructure.
