Ford Mustang Mach-E debuts in Vietnam at $98,850

The model launched is the Premium AWD variant, with customer deliveries expected to begin in October.

To mark the launch, Ford is offering a promotional campaign for early adopters.

The first 300 customers will receive a discount of VND100 million ($3,800), bringing the price down to VND2.499 billion ($95,050).

This package also includes a complimentary wall charger, a mobile charger, and free installation.

Besides, the first 150 buyers will be given a six-month voucher for access to charging stations and a welcome gift.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E features a modern coupe-style SUV design.

It had previously appeared in Vietnam through private imports in its more powerful GT version, which carried a distinct design and a price tag of nearly VND5 billion ($190,000) at launch.

Compared to the GT, the Premium AWD version has a more subdued design, equipped with full LED lighting, 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and front Brembo four-piston brake calipers.

Inside, the cabin embraces a minimalist design, featuring two main displays, a digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 15.5-inch Full HD central touchscreen.

The vehicle supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and comes with a high-end B&O sound system.

The Mach-E offers seating for five and provides 402 liters of cargo space in the rear, expandable to 1,420 liters.

A front trunk adds 81 liters of storage and includes a drain feature for easy cleaning.

The Premium AWD variant is powered by dual electric motors, delivering 395 horsepower and 676 Nm of torque.

It uses an 88 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling a range of up to 550 km on a full charge based on WLTP standards.

Charging capabilities include support for 11 kW AC charging and 150 kW DC fast charging.

Using a fast charger, the car can gain up to 107 km of range in 10 minutes or charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 36 minutes.

Each purchase includes a seven-kW wall charger and a 3.5-kW mobile charger.

Safety features are comprehensive, with an advanced driver assistance system suite that includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

In Vietnam's electric vehicle segment priced between VND2 and VND3 billion ($75,915-$113,830), the Ford Mustang Mach-E can compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz EQB.

In the next pricing tier above VND3 billion, its competitors include the Audi Q6 e-tron and BMW iX3.
