A screenshot from a video shows two foreign suspects fleeing to a car waiting across the street after allegedly attempting to rob a gold shop in Dak Lak Province, Vietnam on September 15, 2026.

The incident occurred at around 7:00 am at Tien Vien gold shop in Song Cau Ward.

Two foreigners, a man and a woman, entered the shop together.

The man approached the shop owner, identified as M.T.V., 50, and struck up a conversation, while the woman secretly went to the gold display cabinets inside the store.

She then unlocked a cabinet whose key had been left in the lock and took three gold bangles worth a combined VND208 million (US$8,000).

The shop owner noticed what was happening and shouted for help.

The woman dropped all three bangles under the cabinet before fleeing the shop with her accomplice.

The pair ran to a waiting white car parked across the street, where two other men were inside.

They sped away toward neighboring Gia Lai Province.
