Two foreign tourists who were warmly invited to join a wedding in Can Tho City, in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, after stopping to watch the celebration surprised the newlyweds with a wedding envelope containing cash, winning praise online.

The wedding was held on October 25 for a young couple, Khang Minh and Phuong Hao.

The two tourists, both men, were sightseeing in Can Tho when they happened to pass by the wedding tent.

Seeing the lively atmosphere, they stopped to watch and were warmly invited by the host family to join the celebration and enjoy the feast.

The visitors soon became highlights of the party, entertaining guests with spontaneous performances on stage.

One of them, wearing a black shirt, sang ‘Chi Rieng Minh Ta’ (Just Me Alone), a famous Vietnamese adaptation of a foreign song, and danced enthusiastically to the music despite not knowing all the lyrics.

His friend, dressed in gray, drew laughter and applause by performing push-ups on stage.

Videos of their impromptu performances quickly attracted thousands of views, comments and shares on social media.

Many viewers left humorous comments, with one joking that the heavier-set tourist ‘glided effortlessly,’ while another quipped that the singer did not know the lyrics but at least stayed on beat.

Others praised the visitors for how readily they joined in, commenting that the foreign tourists had blended right into the celebration.

Notably, despite having encountered the couple by chance, the two tourists thoughtfully prepared a wedding envelope containing cash for the bride and groom.

The gesture surprised the host family and other guests, earning the two tourists further praise online for their generosity and thoughtfulness toward a couple they had only just met.

After the footage went viral, a social media user named Andy identified himself as the man singing in the video and shared details of the encounter.

Andy said his close friend Tyler was the one who performed what he jokingly called the ‘caterpillar’ dance.

He recalled that the group had simply been passing by when the family welcomed them warmly.

A man at the wedding encouraged someone to go on stage and sing a song, so Andy happily accepted the invitation.

Andy also shared footage of the celebration and sent his best wishes to the newlyweds, saying the family’s hospitality and generosity had left the group with unforgettable memories.
