South Korean singer G-Dragon has postponed his Bangkok concert, originally scheduled for August 2, due to what his management company described as ‘unforeseen circumstances,’ prompting speculation among Vietnamese fans about a possible show in Hanoi later this year.

On Monday, Galaxy Corporation, the organizer of the G-Dragon 2025 World Tour Übermensch, announced the postponement of the Bangkok leg.

While the company did not specify the reason, it said a new date would be arranged and issued an apology to fans.

The Bangkok concert was considered a key stop in the Asia leg of the tour, attracting fans from nearby countries and territories including Vietnam, China, and Taiwan owing to its accessibility, affordable ticket prices, and convenient infrastructure.

Vietnamese fans of G-Dragon expressed mixed feelings following the announcement.

Social media platforms have recently circulated rumors that Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium could host the fourth leg of the world tour in November, although there has been no official confirmation from the artist or his team.

With Bangkok temporarily off the schedule, some fans speculated that the chances of Vietnam being selected as a tour stop have increased.

Many pointed to the enthusiastic response to G-Dragon’s performances at the VPBank K-star Spark concert at My Dinh on June 21 as evidence of strong demand in Vietnam.

The late-stage cancelation in Bangkok has left some Vietnamese fans who had already booked travel and accommodation in a difficult position.

Others now worry that if Hanoi is confirmed as a venue, international demand may intensify competition for tickets.

The tour’s second leg recently concluded in Australia, with performances in Sydney and Melbourne.

The third leg is set to continue in Taipei on July 11–13, Kuala Lumpur on July 19–20, and Jakarta on July 25–26, before moving on to the United States and Europe in August and September, including stops in Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris.

Despite no official announcement, social media groups in Vietnam have already begun organizing informal ticket orders for a potential Hanoi gig.

Fan communities have urged caution, advising members to rely only on verified information from G-Dragon’s official channels or authorized organizers to avoid scams.
