Visitors from all over the country are flocking to the capital to admire the city’s festive new look and immerse themselves in the jubilant atmosphere.

Vendors are selling various items printed with the national flag, including conical hats, T-shirts, hair clips, scarves, and decorations.
Taking advantage of the weekend, Nguyen Thi Hong Nham and her family from Bo De Ward brought a small camera and headed to Hang Ma Street.
"With the whole country excited, and this being a once-in-a-lifetime 80th anniversary, I wanted to take my child to capture some memories we can look back on," she shared.
"Our family has planned to watch the preliminary and full-dress rehearsals of the parade.
"On the official day [September 2], we'll watch it on TV to leave space in the capital for visiting tourists."
Foreign visitors are also drawn to shirts featuring Vietnam’s national flag.
