Hanoi police recover lost iPhone 17 Pro Max of Lao TikToker

According to police officers, at around 8:00 pm on Saturday, Maysaa, a Lao international student, reported to the Ba Dinh Ward police that she lost her iPhone 17 Pro Max while attending the first Cultures of the World Festival held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Ba Dinh Ward.

Police were immediately assigned to investigate the case.

By 9:00 pm the same day, with assistance from local residents, police officers located the phone and returned it to Maysaa.

Upon receiving her phone, Maysaa expressed her joy and sincere gratitude to the Ba Dinh Ward police.

On social media, Maysaa confirmed she recovered the phone the same day it was lost.

"Thank you so much, the Ba Dinh Ward police! After three to four hours, I got my phone back, everyone! I don’t even know what to say—truly, the police officers are amazing," the TikToker said.

Her post quickly garnered tens of thousands of interactions within hours, along with numerous congratulatory comments.

Earlier on Saturday, Maysaa posted a series of Facebook updates to her nearly one million followers, pleading for help after reporting her newly purchased phone was stolen during the event at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

The incident quickly spread across social media, with a video in which she announced the theft drawing millions of views.

Born in 2001, Maysaa is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at the National Economics University in Hanoi.

She is well known on social media for her fluent Vietnamese and videos that promote cultural exchange and youth engagement between Laos and Vietnam.
