Hanoi university student apologizes after argument with lecturer over noodle eating in class goes viral
A student at Hanoi-based Phenikaa University has apologized to a lecturer and classmates after a video showing her arguing with the instructor over instant noodle eating in class went viral on social media, the university said on Tuesday.

The student was asked to leave the classroom for breaking school rules by eating instant noodles during a lecture but continued to argue with the lecturer, prompting the session to be suspended.
A video, which lasts just over a minute, shows the student standing and disputing the lecturer’s request while other students remain seated.
It was widely shared online on Tuesday and drew criticism against the student’s behavior.
Phenikaa University said the student’s actions were not in line with the institution’s code of conduct and disrupted the learning environment.

The student later met with faculty and school officials, acknowledged her behavior, and issued an apology.
“The student expressed regret, apologized to the lecturer and classmates, and was committed to adjusting her behavior,” the university said in a statement.
University officials also met with the student’s parents and said counseling support would be provided to ensure her well-being.
Phenikaa University said it prioritizes a respectful and supportive learning environment and will address violations in line with its regulations.
