According to a preliminary report from the provincial steering committee for disaster prevention and search and rescue, the heavy downpours and flash floods mainly impacted the districts of Cam Xuyen, Huong Khe, and Ky Anh.

In Cam Xuyen District, nearly 12,000 poultry died, 32 livestock were swept away, and 11 metric tons of fertilizer were damaged.

Huong Khe District reported 300 dead chickens, while 150 houses suffered localized flooding in Ky Anh District, and three small boats sank in Ky Anh Town.

Besides, more than 2,250 hectares of rice and 397 hectares of other crops throughout the province were submerged.

In Thach Ha District, torrential rains eroded and washed away 10 meters of the Ha reservoir dike, with an estimated 200 cubic meters of soil lost.

On Sunday, provincial leaders conducted on-site inspections and instructed localities to take immediate response and recovery measures.

The provincial steering committee for disaster prevention and search and rescue also issued urgent directives on preparing for further hazardous weather, managing stormwater, and safeguarding both agriculture and communities from further flood risks.
