The waterfall, located in Huong Hiep Commune, Quang Tri Province, remains largely undeveloped for tourism, requiring visitors to be accompanied by local guides to navigate forest trails and streams.
From the last inhabited village of Da Ngoi, it takes more than two hours of trekking along narrow paths beside streams and through primary forest to reach the site.

The route is moderately steep but manageable, with shaded rest points under ancient forest canopy where trekkers can pause and listen to birdsong.
Ba Voi is a three-tiered waterfall system, with the first level serving as a rest stop before climbers continue toward the highest cascade at the third tier.

Locals say Ba Voi is among the highest waterfalls in Quang Tri Province, located near the foot of Voi Mep peak in a remote headwater zone of the Hieu River surrounded by intact forest.
The waterfall is named for its three main water streams flowing year-round from a height of more than 120 meters, producing continuous sound across the valley.

Wildlife such as butterflies can be seen along the upper sections of the waterfall.

From the top of the cascade, views extend across the surrounding forest landscape, with nearby wind turbines visible in the distance in western Quang Tri.
Local authorities have identified Ba Voi as a potential ecotourism site for adventure trekking, community tourism, and nature-based experiences, while emphasizing conservation of the surrounding ecosystem.
