City health authorities said the new center marks a step in developing specialized services within the urban healthcare system, with a focus on diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Hospital director Hoang Thi Diem Tuyet said pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and sexual dysfunction, are common but often underreported conditions that significantly affect women’s quality of life, particularly after childbirth and around menopause.

The facility is described as the first and largest of its kind in Vietnam, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as specialized pelvic ultrasound, MRI, and urodynamic testing.

In addition to conventional surgery, the center will offer non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments, including electrical stimulation, biofeedback, laser therapy, and personalized rehabilitation programs.

Officials said the same-day treatment model is intended to reduce inpatient pressure, shorten treatment time, and lower costs while improving patient experience.

The center will also focus on prevention and early intervention, supporting postnatal recovery, and helping reduce the risk of pelvic disorders as the population ages.
