My Duc Hospital announced on Sunday that it will launch the 12th edition of its long-running charity program, ‘Uom mam hanh phuc’ (Nurturing Happiness), continuing its mission to support low-income couples struggling with infertility.

Applications will be accepted from January 6 to January 15, 2026.

Eighty eligible couples will be selected to receive free treatment at one of the IVF My Duc centers in Ho Chi Minh City or other provinces and cities within the hospital’s nationwide system.

Participants in the 2026 program will receive full financial support for one complete IVF cycle and embryo transfer.

Covered costs include ovarian stimulation medication, endometrial preparation drugs, luteal support medication, egg retrieval procedures, embryo creation and culture, embryo cryopreservation, and frozen embryo transfer.

The treatment period will run from February 6 to October 31, 2026.

Hospital representatives said the announcement, timed to coincide with Vietnam Population Day on December 26, carries particular significance as the country faces a sustained decline in fertility rates.

Ho Chi Minh City authorities have recently introduced a range of pro-birth policies aimed at supporting young families, and the IVF program is seen as a practical contribution to those efforts.

Beyond encouraging childbirth, the program seeks to remove financial and psychological barriers that often prevent infertile couples from accessing modern assisted reproductive technologies.

IVF treatment remains costly in Vietnam and is typically available only through private services, putting it out of reach for many families.

The ‘Uom mam hanh phuc’ program was launched in 2014 by Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, a renowned professor and physician in obstetrics and gynecology.

Since then, it has been implemented continuously by the IVF My Duc system and My Duc Hospital, marking its 12th consecutive year in 2026.

Over the past 11 seasons, the program has resulted in the birth of hundreds of healthy babies, helping nearly 700 couples become parents.

During the 2024-25 season alone, 81 couples were accepted for treatment.

By the end of July this year, 49 of those cases had achieved ongoing pregnancies, underscoring the program’s medical effectiveness and its social impact on families in difficult economic circumstances.
