The duo include Vo Thanh Tam, director of Thanh Thuy Cosmetics Co., Ltd., and Ngo Anh Hong, director of My Trinh Cosmetics Co., Ltd..
At 9:55 am on June 21, officers raided the two companies, which shared the same address in Hoc Mon.
Fifteen employees were caught red-handed manufacturing and storing various foreign-branded products, including Eagle brand medicated oil, Thai moisturizing creams, Thai herbal oils, and South Korean roll-on oils.
These items were not listed among the officially registered products of the two firms.
Tam, Hong, and their employees initially denied any wrongdoing during questioning.
However, the couple then admitted to directing their employees to produce the counterfeit goods for profit.
Since 2022, the duo have masterminded the fake medicated oil production operation.
Tam was responsible for studying ingredients, while Hong purchased unregulated raw materials for processing the oil.
The production process included bottling, labeling, shrink-wrapping, and packaging the counterfeit products to make them look like genuine foreign-made oils.

These bogus bottles were valued at over VND6 billion (US$230,000).
Following the investigation, police officially arrested and filed charges against Tam, Hong, and 15 other suspects involved in the operation on Monday.
