The Hang Xanh traffic police team said the violations occurred at a level crossing on the North–South railway line in Hanh Thong Ward, where entry is banned due to a high risk of traffic accidents.

Motorcyclists had crossed from a road running parallel to the railway onto Pham Van Dong Boulevard despite prohibition signs.

In addition to stepped-up patrols, they had deployed officers to film violations for remote fines.

Under Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, motorcyclists who enter prohibited areas face fines of VND2-3 million (US$76-115) and a deduction of two points from their 12-point driver’s licences, police said.
