Most of the individuals were deported for violating U.S. immigration and residency regulations, police said.

Following their arrival, police worked with local authorities to contact family members and complete bail procedures.

Authorities said the process was carried out to ensure legal compliance, maintain public order and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the returning citizens.

City police said supporting deported citizens as they reintegrate into society often presents significant challenges.

Many of those returning left Vietnam decades ago, resulting in incomplete residency records or outdated personal documentation.

Some have lost contact with relatives, while others are elderly or face difficult economic circumstances.

For individuals without sponsors or stable places of residence, authorities will coordinate with relevant agencies to provide temporary accommodation and support at social support centers.

The latest repatriation is the third group of Vietnamese citizens deported from the U.S. and received by Vietnamese authorities since the start of this year.

Ho Chi Minh City police urged Vietnamese citizens to strictly comply with host country laws when studying, working, or residing abroad.

Authorities also warned against illegal migration, the use of fraudulent documents and involvement in human smuggling networks that facilitate unauthorized travel overseas.

Police emphasized that respecting local laws not only protects the rights and interests of individuals but also helps strengthen the image of Vietnamese citizens as responsible and law-abiding members of the international community.
