Light rain and showers will affect southern provinces and cities, with moderate rain in some areas.

Northern Dong Nai and Tay Ninh will receive heavy rain in some areas.

Rain will occur mainly from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm each day.

Temperatures will reach 31-34 degrees Celsius in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh, 30-33 degrees Celsius in the Mekong Delta and 26-28 degrees Celsius in Lam Dong.

The convergence zone will weaken on August 12-13, bringing less rain across southern Vietnam.

Thunderstorms will then cover about one-third of the region, while heavy rain will become less likely.

Evening rush-hour traffic will face a higher risk of rain, while thunderstorms may produce lightning, strong winds and localized flooding.

The Central Highlands, eastern Lam Dong and southeastern Vietnam will receive showers and scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Rainfall will reach 15-30 millimeters, with some areas recording more than 100 millimeters.

Rain will concentrate in the afternoon and at night.

Thunderstorms may produce lightning, hail, whirlwinds and strong wind gusts. Heavy rain may trigger flash floods along small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Northern Vietnam and parts of central Vietnam will remain hot on August 11, with temperatures reaching 35-37 degrees Celsius and exceeding 38 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Northern Vietnam will record intense heat in some areas, except Lai Chau and Dien Bien.

Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and eastern Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will also record hot weather, with intense heat in some areas.
