Ho Chi Minh City to ban Internet cafés from operating after 10:00 pm

According to the municipal administration’s decision, Internet service agents and public access points that do not provide online gaming services will be allowed to operate between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm daily.

Public Internet access points located in hotels, restaurants, airports, bus stations, cafés, and other public venues offering free Internet must follow the opening and closing hours of their host businesses.

All Internet service agents and public access points are required to publicly display their operating hours at their premises.

The city’s Department of Science and Technology has been tasked with coordinating relevant agencies and local authorities to implement, guide, and monitor compliance.

Ward and commune-level authorities are responsible for managing and inspecting Internet service agents within their jurisdictions, and for handling violations of operating time regulations in accordance with the law.
