Co-hosted by the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, GBA Oktoberfest has long been the largest and most authentic German cultural festival in Vietnam, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year.
This year’s festival is even more significant as it marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany, as well as the 30th anniversary of the GBA.
Alexander Ziehe, chairman of GBA, stated that GBA Oktoberfest is not only a cultural festival but also a living symbol of the strong partnership between Germany and Vietnam.
He added that it also serves as a vibrant platform for businesses, communities, and friends of both nations to connect.
In 2024, more than 10,500 guests attended Oktoberfest and over 20,000 liters of beer were served.
This year, Oktoberfest 2025 will once again retain its position as the largest beer festival in Southeast Asia.
The festival has brought the colors, sounds, and flavors of Bavaria closer to the Vietnamese public, while serving as a vibrant bridge to foster business cooperation, cultural exchange, and friendship between Vietnam and Germany.
“Beyond being a festive celebration, GBA Oktoberfest serves as a platform to strengthen economic and trade ties, foster investment, promote vocational training, accelerate digital transformation, and champion sustainable development,” Peter Kompalla, chief representative of AHK Vietnam, stated.
Following the success of Oktoberfest 2024, which welcomed over 10,500 guests and served more than 20,000 liters of beer, GBA Oktoberfest 2025 will be Southeast Asia’s largest beer festival.
The festival will take place in Hanoi at the JW Marriott Hotel from September 25 to 27, in Danang at Furama Resort on October 3, and in Ho Chi Minh City at Hotel Nikko Saigon from October 9 to 11.
