Vietnam will take on China in the semifinal match at 10:30 pm on Tuesday.
The municipal Department of Culture and Sports on Monday morning held a meeting with relevant units to discuss a plan to install four large electronic LED screens for the public to follow the U23 team’s match at the tournament.
Under the plan, the four screens will be set up along Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, specifically in the section stretching from Ton Duc Thang Intersection to Le Loi Intersection.
The initiative was proposed by Ho Chi Minh City Football Joint Stock Company, the managing entity of Ho Chi Minh City FC.
The installation is aimed at boosting morale and providing strong support for the Vietnamese players as they play the semifinal against China U23s.
These screens will also help fans follow the third-place play-off on Friday and the final on Saturday.
The screening events will run from 8:30 pm until the end of each match.
Each LED screen will measure seven meters in height and 12 meters in width, promising sharp and vivid images of head coach Kim Sang Sik and his players in their quest for top honors at the continental youth level.
The four LED screens are scheduled to be installed on Monday evening.
Ho Chi Minh City Football JSC has previously installed large LED screens on Le Loi Boulevard, from Lam Son Park to Phan Boi Chau Street in Saigon Ward, to serve football fans during the men’s football semifinal and final at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
