The move comes after numerous complaints from residents about inactive information boards at bus stops, which have made it difficult for passengers to look up bus routes and arrival times.
Some shelters have also been misused for street vending or left littered with trash.
In response, the center said it is investing in upgrades to the city's public transport infrastructure.
Efforts include repairing and improving bus shelters, enhancing lighting systems, installing surveillance cameras, and fixing the electronic information boards.
Cleaning services have also been increased, with funding provided by the city's budget.
The center is working with local authorities and related agencies to crack down on issues such as vandalism, littering, misuse of public spaces, and theft of equipment from bus stops.
These efforts aim to improve safety, cleanliness, and the overall quality of public transport services.
Currently, 554 bus shelters across the city are equipped with electronic information boards that display real-time bus arrival times and route details.
These boards are designed to help passengers plan their journeys more easily.

However, inspections have found that 170 of the boards are no longer operational due to electronic failures, power supply issues, or stolen components. The center said it is taking steps to restore service at all affected locations.
Officials also revealed plans to expand the number of bus shelters with full amenities. Future upgrades will ensure that all shelters are equipped with lighting, surveillance cameras, and functioning information boards.
The city is also developing a proposal to auction advertising rights on bus stops and shelters, using road infrastructure assets to generate revenue. The proposal is expected to be submitted to the appropriate authorities in August 2025.
A representative from the center said the agency is committed to improving the user experience for public transport riders and called for stronger cooperation from local authorities to curb vandalism, theft, and misuse of public infrastructure.
The goal, they said, is to maintain a cleaner, safer, and more efficient urban transit system.
