The city’s administration has submitted a report to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh detailing the preparations for the upcoming celebrations.
A key aspect of these preparations is ensuring widespread public access to the commemorative events, particularly the military parade and procession scheduled for April 30.
The Ministry of National Defense and various agencies are working together to organize one of the largest parades in decades.
The military parade will feature 36 marching contingents representing the armed forces and police, jointly organized by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.
Following this, Ho Chi Minh City will oversee the civic procession involving 12 units.
More than 13,000 people are expected to participate in the historic event.
Grandstands are being constructed to accommodate over 5,260 guests and dignitaries, including the 1,065-seat stand A, the 1,830-seat stand B, and the 2,360-seat stand C.
Other facilities will include media centers, press booths, medical stations, fire trucks, ambulances, mobile restrooms, and technical operation hubs.
The city will deploy 10 large LED screens in the downtown area, and 22 additional LED screens across districts and Thu Duc City.
Authorities will also mobilize commercial LED billboards to broadcast the entire ceremony, including the parade and cultural performances.
These screens will incorporate augmented reality, 3D graphics, and historical footage to enrich the parade experience.
To support the event, city departments are working urgently to clear public spaces for setup by April 22.
The celebration will begin with a 30-minute cultural performance, featuring marching bands, rifle displays, and music.
The main ceremony will include a flag-raising ceremony, a 21-gun salute accompanied by the national anthem, speeches from top leaders, remarks by war veterans and youth representatives, a performance of the iconic song ‘Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui’ (A Country Full of Joy), the military parade and procession, and finally, the release of doves and balloons.
