Ho Chi Minh City to stage fireworks at 7 locations on Reunification Day

The city’s administration has announced its plan commemorating the 51st anniversary of Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), and the 140th anniversary of International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026).

Three high-altitude fireworks shows will take place at the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward, the new city center in Binh Duong Ward, and Ba Ria park square in Ba Ria Ward.

Four low-altitude displays will be staged at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward, the Saigon Marina IFC tower in Saigon Ward, the Kim Long villa area near the Rach Dia Bridge in Nha Be Commune, and Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio Commune.

The city’s Military Command will coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and other agencies to organize the events.

In addition to fireworks, large-scale art performances will be held from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm on April 30 at three venues, including the main stage on Nguyen Hue Street.

Other performances will take place at the new city center park in Binh Duong Ward and Ba Ria park square in Ba Ria Ward.

From April 26 to May 1, cultural programs will be staged across wards and communes. These activities also include a marathon, art shows, and decorations along central streets.

Exhibitions of historical images will run from April 23 to May 12 at Nguyen Hue-Dong Khoi Street in Saigon Ward, Nguyen Du Park in Thu Dau Mot Ward, and the Revolutionary Tradition House in Vung Tau Ward.

On April 29, city leaders will hold memorial ceremonies at cemeteries and offer incense and flowers in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh and late President Ton Duc Thang.
