Ho Chi Minh City’s water suppliers announce low pressure, shut-off for this weekend

Gia Dinh Wasuco JSC and Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco), two water suppliers of Ho Chi Minh City, have issued notices for a water disruption that is expected to affect 12 districts this weekend.

The service disturbance started at 9:00 pm on Friday and will last until 5:00 pm on Saturday for technicians to repair pipes, leaving the entirety of Binh Thanh District, Phu Nhuan District, Wards 12, 13, 14 in District 3, and Ward 1 in Go Vap District to experience low water pressure, according to Gia Dinh Wasuco’s announcement.

Sawaco also said that it will temporarily suspend water supply in some districts for the routine maintenance of Tan Hiep Water Plant from 10:00 pm on Saturday to 4:00 am on Sunday.

As a result, there will be no water from the taps in Wards 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 16 in District 8, and Tan Tuc Town, Vinh Loc A, Vinh Loc B, Pham Van Hai, Binh Loi, Le Minh Xuan, Tan Kien, Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh, An Phu Tay, Tan Quy Tay, Hung Long, Phong Phu, and Binh Hung Communes in Binh Chanh District.

The entirety of Binh Tan District and Hoc Mon District, Wards 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 in District 6, and Tan Thoi Nhat, Tan Hung Thuan, Dong Hung Thuan, Trung My Tay, Tan Chanh Hiep, Tan Thoi Hiep, Hiep Thanh, Thoi An, Thanh Xuan Wards in District 12 might expect low water pressure.

Households in Wards 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 in Go Vap District will also be affected.

The water pressure will also be low for the taps in Tay Thanh, Son Ky, Tan Son Nhi, Tan Quy, Tan Thanh, Phu Tho Hoa, Phu Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Hiep Tan, and Tan Thoi Hoa Wards in Tan Phu District and Wards 12, 13, 14, 15 in Tan Binh District.
