A video posted on social media shows the car mounting the median on Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard and entering a mixed-use lane, surprising nearby motorcyclists.

Heavy traffic was reported ahead of the vehicle.

The incident occurred in Binh Hung Commune, which was previously part of now-defunct Binh Chanh District, in the direction from National Highway 1 to Ong Lon Bridge, according to the person who shot the video.

Police from the local traffic station said they are investigating the case and have summoned the driver for questioning.

The witness, identified only as H.L., said some sections of the median on Nguyen Van Linh have become worn down as car drivers frequently drive over them to switch lanes illegally.
