Phu Quoc welcomed the influx of foreign and domestic tourists between February 14 and February 18.
Across An Giang Province, which includes Phu Quoc, authorities recorded about 554,000 visitors during the holiday, with total tourism revenue estimated at more than VND1.29 trillion (US$49.67 million).

Major attractions on the island, including Bach Dang Park, Cau Palace, Thom Islet, Sunset Town in An Thoi and Grand World Phu Quoc, hosted Lunar New Year-themed decorations, traditional games, and cultural activities.
Some international visitors said they were experiencing Vietnam's Lunar New Year celebrations for the first time.

"Vietnam has a very special and interesting Lunar New Year. Flowers are everywhere and the atmosphere is lively. I like the blue sea and golden sunshine in Phu Quoc at this time," said Adila, a tourist from Kazakhstan.
Phu Quoc handled more than 80 flights per day during the holiday period, officials said.

Resorts also incorporated traditional cuisine and folk games into their holiday programs to introduce visitors to Lunar New Year customs, according to Subash Basnet, general manager of World Hotels Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc.
Bui Quoc Thai, director of An Giang's Department of Tourism, said local authorities and tourism businesses well prepared to meet the needs of domestic and international travelers during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday.
