Man arrested for stabbing 5 students with livestock syringe in southern Vietnam

A 22-year-old man in Binh Duong Province, southern Vietnam has been arrested for stabbing five students in the thigh with a livestock syringe and secretly filming the attacks for personal gratification, local police confirmed on Sunday.

Nguyen Thanh Thong, a resident of Tan Vinh Hiep Ward in the provincial city of Tan Uyen, is currently in custody and under investigation for intentionally causing injury and disturbing public order.

Findings from the local police showed that in a short span of time, Thong used a livestock syringe to stab five students on their way home from schools in Tan Vinh Hiep Ward and Thu Dau Mot City’s Phu Tan Ward.

Following multiple reports from the victims, police launched an investigation and tracked down Thong.

He was apprehended at 7:45 pm last Saturday while riding a motorbike under suspicious circumstances.

The police found that Thong was carrying a syringe filled with a green liquid, a vial containing the same substance, and a concealed camera.

During questioning, Thong admitted to buying the livestock syringe online and using it to stab the students in the thigh.

He also confessed to wearing a hidden camera on his arm to record the incidents, which he carried out to satisfy his personal pleasure.
