Located opposite Ben Thanh Market in the heart of Vietnam’s southern economic hub, the project is expected to become a new landmark, with high-end retail, hospitality, office, and accommodation offerings added to the city’s central area.
The development occupies an 8,537-square-meter site bordered by Pham Ngu Lao, Calmette, Le Thi Hong Gam, and Pho Duc Chinh Streets, with its total investment and timeline yet to be disclosed.
According to Masterise Group, One Central Saigon will have direct underground access to Ben Thanh central station, the interchange hub for metro line No. 1 and No. 2, in one of the city’s busiest commercial districts.
The project will comprise two towers rising above a commercial podium with nearly 20,000 square meters of retail space across seven above-ground floors and six basement levels, along with complex technical structures and stringent investment standards.
Masterise Group said the complex is expected to rank among the tallest twin-tower developments in Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region.
A key highlight of the integrated development is the debut of the Ritz-Carlton brand in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring the Ritz-Carlton Residences with branded serviced apartments under ‘gold standard’ service and a 231-room ultra-luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel.
The integrated development will also include a Premium shopping mall spanning nearly 20,000 square meters, positioned as a luxury retail destination comparable to those in cities such as Paris and Bangkok, along with Grade A+ office space.
Thi Anh Dao, chief marketing officer at Masterise Group, said the project’s value lies not only in its prime location but also in its ability to bridge the city’s heritage with modern urban development.
Gloria Chan, a representative of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hotel groups, said the arrival of The Ritz-Carlton reflected confidence in Ho Chi Minh City as an emerging luxury tourism destination and a promising branded real estate market.
Pham Huy Binh, director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said the launch of major projects in the city center was especially significant as the city pursues double-digit economic growth targets.
He said One Central Saigon would help reshape the city center while adding high-end tourism offerings to attract more international visitors to Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City welcomed more than 8.5 million international visitors in 2025, up over 40 percent year on year, according to the tourism department.
Binh expressed hope that the project would generate strong spillover effects for the city’s commercial and service sectors and help position Vietnam as a new international destination.
Masterise said the project’s architectural design was inspired by the image of ‘two dragons holding a pearl,’ a symbol of strength, prosperity, and wisdom in Eastern culture.
Vu Thi Minh Phuong, managing director for the southern region at Masterise, said the company aimed not only to develop a landmark project but also to carry forward the spirit of prosperity at the intersection of heritage and the future.
She added that the developer hoped One Central Saigon would become a source of pride for local residents and a symbol of a modern and globally confident Vietnam.
The project involves a line-up of international consultants, including Arquitectonica for architecture, HBA for interior design, Mace for construction management, and Newtecons as the main contractor.
Once completed, One Central Saigon is expected to become a major destination in central Ho Chi Minh City and set new standards for ultra-luxury living.
