Vietnamese architects at home and abroad are welcome to submit their works to a national selection round, the winner of which will represent Vietnam in a Southeast Asian architecture competition.
Architects who are under 55 years old and live in Vietnam or in other countries are eligible for the selection, which seeks a representative for the country at a competition on architectural designs expressive of Southeast Asian identity.
The competition will feature works created by architects from ASEAN member states: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Myanmar, and three guest countries, South Korea, China and Japan.
Entries submitted for the national selection can include designs for museums and relic restoration projects which were put into operation in Vietnam two to seven years ago.
Submitted works are expected to boast Vietnamese architectural features and be synchronous with the entire East Asian architectural map.
Entries in paper and computer files are to be submitted at the ministry’s Department of Cultural Heritage at 51 Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
The deadline is 4:30 pm on Saturday based on delivery, not the dates on postage stamps.
