Authorities in Da Nang City, central Vietnam have mobilized close to 100 people to search for a Russian tourist who went missing while strolling along Viem Dong Beach in Dien Ban Dong Ward.

As of 5:00 pm on Monday, the man had not yet been found.

The tourist, part of a family of three staying at a seaside accommodation facility, went missing on Sunday evening.

After dinner, he and his daughter went for a walk on the beach while his wife remained at the hotel.

The daughter walked ahead, but when she looked back, her father was no longer in sight.

Family members and hotel staff searched the area but failed to locate him, prompting them to notify local authorities.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Da Nang Military Command asked the local military unit in Dien Ban Dong to coordinate with other forces to launch a search-and-rescue operation.

Nearly 100 personnel were deployed, including soldiers, police officers, rescue teams, and local residents.

Search teams divided the coastline into sections and expanded the search area.

Updates were continuously reported to the Da Nang Military Command for further instructions.
