UT STC, a joint venture between the University of Transport Ho Chi Minh City and Dutch training group STC, said the new facility features two Dutch standard bridge simulators with 240- and 360-degree views, along with multiple vessel models and realistic scenarios covering both Vietnamese and international waterways.
The center is also equipped with a Kongsberg engine room simulator that recreates machinery spaces, control rooms and high voltage systems.
Additional systems include cargo handling, ECDIS and GMDSS simulators, as well as survival and firefighting training areas built to STCW requirements.

Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Aukje de Vries attended the opening and said the project reflects the long-standing maritime cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
She added that the Dutch government will continue supporting technology transfer and training aligned with international standards.
UT STC said the center will provide more practical training opportunities for students and help Vietnam supply highly qualified seafarers to the global shipping industry.
