The rapid yet impressive transformation has urged many residents and visitors to stop by, admire, and capture photos of the iconic landmark.
Ben Thanh Market now looks more orderly and visually appealing.
A vivid red hue has been restored across the tiled roof, while sections of the surrounding walls, sidewalks, and road markings have also been repainted and upgraded.
Many people passing through the area shared they were delighted and amazed that in just a few days, the famous market had undergone such a noticeable makeover.

Traveling to Ho Chi Minh City with friends, Kim Quyen, a 22-year-old visitor from Da Nang City, central Vietnam, immediately chose to wear ao dai for photo shoots at Ben Thanh Market.
“Even though this is my third time visiting Ho Chi Minh City, this is the most impressed and excited I’ve ever been seeing the iconic market looking so beautiful and vibrant,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dang Khoa and Anh Thu, both 21 and residents of Ben Thanh Ward, also rented ao dai outfits to take photos at the market, planning to share them during the upcoming Lunar New Year.
Seeing the market appear newer and more polished, Khoa said he felt happy witnessing Ho Chi Minh City becoming increasingly modern and developed.

Ben Thanh Market officially began its revamp on Monday.
The project is part of a broader effort to spruce up many of Ho Chi Minh City’s well-known locations such as Turtle Lake, Nguyen Hue Street, Dong Khoi Street, and Hai Ba Trung Street in preparation for the forthcoming Lunar New Year celebrations, due in mid-February.
