Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the 2026 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday will be open to the public for eight days, with its main displays remaining in place until the end of March, according to the municipal authorities.

The city administration has approved the plan for the annual flower street following a proposal from Saigontourist Group and recommendations from the Department of Culture and Sports.

The 23rd edition of Nguyen Hue Flower Street will be set up along the central pedestrian lane of Nguyen Hue Street, stretching from Le Loi to Ton Duc Thang streets.

The event is scheduled to open at 7:00 pm on February 15, 2026, and close at 9:00 pm on February 22, with the first day of the Lunar New Year falling on February 17.

Major installations, including the entrance and exit gates, will remain on display until 9:00 pm on March 22, 2026.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 pm on February 15 at the Le Loi-Nguyen Hue intersection, behind the lotus flower fountain, and will be preceded by a flower offering at the Ho Chi Minh Statue.

During the eight-day event, all vehicle traffic along Nguyen Hue Street will be suspended, turning the entire route into a pedestrian zone from February 15 to February 22.

Nearby intersections will also be temporarily closed during the setup period and the opening ceremony.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 will feature cultural performances, food areas, and promotional spaces along the sidewalks and parts of the street.

Between six and ten LED screens will showcase images from previous editions of the flower street.

The Department of Culture and Sports is leading the event, working closely with Saigontourist Group and other relevant agencies on the theme, communications, permits, and overall coordination.

The Departments of Construction, Public Security, and Tourism will be responsible for managing transport permits, security, traffic control, fire safety, and public communications to ensure a safe and seamless experience for residents and visitors.
