Northern Vietnam job fair offers over 110,000 positions as firms ramp up hiring

The events, hosted at Bac Giang Industrial Technical College, connected employers, jobseekers, and training institutions in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen Province, Cao Bang Province, Ninh Binh Province, Hung Yen Province, Tuyen Quang Province, Lang Son Province, Hai Phong City, Phu Tho Province, and Bac Ninh Province.

Bac Ninh alone accounted for over 57,000 vacancies, driven by rapid industrial growth, while companies across the region reported rising demand for both skilled and unskilled workers.

Bac Ninh-based electric vehicle maker Yadea said it is hiring workers for four to five production lines at its new plant in Tan Hung Industrial Park, while electronics manufacturer Goertek, located in the same province, is seeking about 40,000 workers in the second quarter and up to 120,000 for the full year, mainly for assembly roles.

Fushan Technology Vietnam in VSIP Bac Ninh industrial park also plans to expand its workforce to around 16,000 employees by end-2026, up by about 6,000 from the previous year.

Bac Ninh authorities estimate the province will need more than 230,000 new workers in 2026, following the strong economic growth of 10.27 percent last year, with shortages persisting, particularly among skilled labor.

According to Vu Trong Binh, director of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ employment department, a national online job exchange platform has been completed and is expected to launch soon to improve labor matching across regions.
