Flames were blazing through the penultimate floor of a 25-story building under construction in Cau Giay District, at around 8:00 pm on Wednesday, according to witnesses.
Firefighters took about an hour to put out the fire, with authorities blocking traffic at the ends of Le Van Luong Street, where the building sits.

In the second incident starting at 6:30 am the following day, raging fire spread from a bedding shop to a semidetached store, selling industrial gas cylinders, and a three-floor house near the Vinh Tuy Bridge in Long Bien District, Hanoi.
Locals reported hearing multiple explosions in the event, with a huge column of smoke climbing into the sky for 30 minutes before the flames were extinguished.
A female senior residing in the house died, while completely burned beddings and fire-licked gas cylinders were found in the two shops, according to a local official.
