Over 600 Vietnamese manufacturers showcase products to global buyers in Ho Chi Minh City

The International Supply Chain Connectivity Exhibition 2026 (Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 - VIS) opened on Thursday at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together more than 600 Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters and over 580 international retailers, distributors, and buyers.

Opening the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said VIS 2026 comes as global supply chains are being reorganized, competition is intensifying, and trade barriers are becoming increasingly complex. 

The exhibition is expected to give Vietnamese businesses more opportunities to engage directly with international buyers, understand market demand, and expand markets for their products.

The event features major global retail groups, including Walmart (U.S.), Imcosa SA de CV (Mexico), H&M (Sweden), Aeon (Japan), Lotte (South Korea), Central Group and MM Mega Market (Thailand), and LuLu (UAE), offering Vietnamese businesses a chance to gain direct access to international markets and better understand what global customers are looking for.

Alen Wei, chief financial officer of H&M Production for China and Southeast Asia, said Vietnam remains an important sourcing market for H&M. 

He recommended that Vietnamese businesses focus on low-carbon production, renewable energy and upgrading industrial capabilities to increase domestic value-added.

Meanwhile, Cha Ji Ho, deputy general manager of Samsung Vietnam's purchasing center, said supply-chain partners are shifting from price-based competition toward higher requirements for quality, delivery times, technical capabilities, and transparent data management.
