An officer from the police division of Lang Ward said once the verification process is completed, the findings will be reported to the municipal Department of Public Security.
According to the clip shared on Facebook, the incident occurred on a sidewalk near the building at 54 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street in Lang Ward on Tuesday.
The post stated that the female customer had ordered food and paid for it in advance.
When the delivery man arrived, he reportedly called the customer twice but received no answer.
About three minutes later, the customer returned the call and came downstairs to collect the order nearly 10 minutes afterward.
The social media post alleged that when the two met, the delivery man verbally abused the customer for not answering the phone sooner.
The man was also accused of marking the order as completed on the delivery application without handing over the food.
When the customer said she would report the incident to his company's customer service hotline, the man allegedly continued to argue aggressively.
As the woman walked away, the man chased after her, grabbed her by the hair, dragged her along the street and struck her in the face multiple times.
Security camera footage shared online appears to show the incident unfolding on the sidewalk, drawing the attention of several bystanders.
