A Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporter on Tuesday evening accompanied a task force from Tay Nha Trang Ward police and local security officers as they conducted inspections across the ward.

In the Phu Thanh 2 neighborhood, the team carried out rapid drug tests on residents and checked administrative records.

No positive drug cases were found during Tuesday evening’s tests.

Residents generally cooperated with authorities throughout the screening process.

A local police officer said that common violations in the ward include illegal land use, unauthorized land leveling, and construction on agricultural or public land.

These activities have led to the formation of dense boarding house clusters, complicating residency management and crime prevention.

To address these challenges, police began community drug testing in high-risk areas.

Between Saturday and Monday, task forces inspected more than 150 boarding houses and mini-apartments, testing over 140 households. The campaign identified 24 positive drug cases.
