The planned metro line will span 45.8 kilometers, starting from An Ha in the former Binh Chanh District and ending at the Hiep Binh Phuoc depot in the former Thu Duc City.
According to the city’s transport plan, metro line No. 3 will run along major corridors including An Ha, Le Minh Xuan, Tan Kien Station, National Highway 1, Kinh Duong Vuong, Hong Bang, Hung Vuong, Cong Hoa Roundabout, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, National Highway 13, and the Hiep Binh Phuoc depot.
Land clearance for the project will be carried out all at once as per the approved plan, with the total investment to be determined after the completion of the design documents.
The company committed to self-financing the preparation of the investment proposal dossiers and submitting them for appraisal and approval, while bearing all related costs and risks if the proposal is not approved.
Masterise stated that the metro line No. 3 project aligns with the provisions of the Law on Public–Private Partnership Investment.
Investment under this model offers multiple advantages, such as mobilizing private sector resources, leveraging private management and technological expertise, and realizing Resolution 68 of the Politburo on private economic development.
According to the company, the public–private partnership approach will help shorten implementation time, ease pressure on the state budget, and allow Ho Chi Minh City to focus resources on other priority projects and policies.
Vice-chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Bui Xuan Cuong has assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to review Masterise Group’s proposal in accordance with current regulations before October 24.
In addition to this metro line project, Masterise Group had previously proposed several other major and urgent infrastructure developments in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Can Gio Bridge connecting Can Gio area with the city center, the Phu My 2 Bridge linking the South Saigon Urban Area with Long Thanh International Airport in neighboring Dong Nai Province, and an expressway connecting the Ho Tram area with Long Thanh International Airport.
