To celebrate the occasion, leaders from Khanh Hoa's tourism sector presented gifts to the first 20 passengers and the flight crew, and hosted a cultural performance to create a lively, festive atmosphere and leave a memorable impression on the guests.
According to the Khanh Hoa center for investment, trade, and tourism promotion, starting from October 2025, Nordwind Airlines will operate an average of 18–22 flights per month from eight Russian cities, bringing approximately 6,800 Russian tourists monthly to Khanh Hoa.
Cung Quynh Anh, deputy director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said that Russian visitors are particularly fond of beach resorts, marine recreational activities, and local cuisine.
As a result, the local tourism sector is guiding service providers to develop offerings tailored to this traditional market.
In January-September 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed over 14.1 million visitors, up 16.5 percent year on year, including 4.3 million international arrivals, an 18.7-percent increase.
The province generated total tourism revenue of over VND56.5 trillion (US$2.1 billion) in the nine-month period, up 19.2 percent from the previous year.
In September alone, more than 506,000 international tourists visited the province, a surge of over 42 percent compared to the same period last year.

Tymur Sadykov, Russian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, commented that the return of regular flights from Russia to Nha Trang is a significant signal, not only for Russian travelers but also for Vietnam’s tourism industry.
According to Sadykov, Russian tourists have long regarded Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province as a magnetic destination.
"Each time they return, Russian visitors see that Nha Trang is developing not just year by year, but by the month, even by the day. That is the true appeal of this destination," he said.
Sadykov also emphasized that Khanh Hoa serves as a vital bridge fostering ties and promoting Russian tourist flows.
In addition to infrastructure development, the provincial government has been actively introducing new tourism products to better serve the Russian market.
