Vietnam’s Department of Cinema has authorized Film No.1 Joint Stock Company to provide filming services for Russian production house Mart Production, the Phu Yen tourism department said on Friday.
Mart Production’s new series, titled ‘Vuzivality – The Snake Hunters,’ will include 10 episodes, with each lasting 120 minutes.
Filming is scheduled from April 5 to May 31 across Dak Lak and Phu Yen.
The cast includes six foreign celebrities known for music, acting, blogging, and magic.
They will take part in challenges spread across forests, mountains, beaches, and plains.
Phu Yen and Dak Lak are the first Vietnamese locations chosen for the production.
To prepare for the show’s filming, the Phu Yen tourism department requested local authorities to support filming at several scenic sites such as Tuy Hoa Beach, Hon Choi Beach, Hom Abyss, Song Abyss, Mon Beach, Dien Cape, Bai Goc sand dunes, Hoa Hiep Nam rock cliffs, Hon Nua Island, and My Lam reservoir.
Le Hoang Phu, deputy director of the Phu Yen tourism department, said the province has become a favored filming destination in recent years, with several notable Vietnamese films having been shot there, including ‘I See Yellow Flowers in the Green Grass’ and ‘Once Upon a Love Story.’
“The selection by an international production team highlights Phu Yen’s potential as a film location and offers an opportunity to promote the province’s tourism image to global audiences,” Phu said.
