A Saigon Zoo official said the program, which underwent a six-month trial, attracted more than 1,300 visitors on weekend evenings.
Due to growing interest, it has now expanded to operate nightly.
Each tour is limited to 20 participants aged 10-65, with two sessions held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 8:15 pm to 9:15 pm.
Guests can watch tigers, leopards, hyenas, and other animals in soft lighting that does not disturb their natural behaviors.
Guides also share information about the species to encourage wildlife appreciation and environmental awareness.
Vo Thai An, a 23-year-old resident in Tan Son Nhi Ward, who joined the pilot program, said he was surprised to see animals like tigers, lions, and raccoons active at night after only encountering them asleep during daytime visits.
“Hearing the guides’ stories made me feel their love for the animals," he said.
"I believe this program will spread that love of nature, especially to children."
