The bomb disposal operation was carried out in coordination with the Engineering Department of Military Region 7, local military units, and other relevant forces.
On Wednesday morning, the teams transported and detonated an MK-81 bomb discovered in Cat Tien 2 Commune.
On Tuesday, they had safely removed and destroyed two other bombs, including an MK-81 found in Nam Ha Commune and an M117 bomb discovered in Lang Biang Ward.
The MK-81 and M117 bombs were commonly used by U.S. forces during the war in Vietnam and are known for their devastating blast radius and destructive capacity.
